Faulty washer fluid check valve fix Posted by saabstory [Email] (#1919) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabstory) on Wed, 10 Jan 2001 21:50:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Both of the front washer fluid nozzels quit working on my 96 900. Cost for replacements is 6 bucks a piece. I opened the check valves with a knife and discarded the spring and plunger. Next I snapped the two halfs back together using original rubber gasket and put a dab of crazy glue on the small hole. They now work great. Both of the valves were glued in the closed position. Who needs check valves. My GTI doesn't have and has no problems. With all the posts on this problem saab should rethink using check valves or atleast redesign them.
