I am quite serious, and now waiting for the new generation 9-3 and hope it has a better cupholder. If it has no decent cupholder at all I think I will buy another car.

Saab is a long distance car.
With my Saab 900 2.3 I have been on many long trips in europe, on holidays and work, sometimes driving 500-1000 km in one day ( or night ).
In enjoy the smooth driving, the powerful engine, the aircondition, but I MISS the cupholders. It is not very fancy having a can or bottle between your legs, it gets warm very fast.

By the way I once was drinking from a bottle and I placed it in the middle console box between the seats, it was kind of leaning forward there, and when I stopped for red light I heard the funny noise of bubbling coke all over the console and in the swithes for the electrical windows. I still have problems with those windows.

I think Saab should take this serious and add a decent double cupholder (Volkswagen type) I mean if you dont like it, do not use it. It takes up very little space, but some custumers demand it.

Best Regards
J. W. Nielsen
