I have a shimmy in my 1995 900SE, I went through everything until I just blamed the tires, including an extra set on new rims. It ended up being conincidence. Nevertheless...
Worn inner drivers (inner CVs) can cause vibrations, have the boots checked for wear. A joint can dry out fast if the boot gets nicked. They tend to be worse under acceleration.
Maybe a bent stub axle in the back...have you had an alignment done? I had a good one and it solved 90% of my shimmy/shake/wandering problems. The rear end is not adjustable, but can be shimmed if it's way off.
There is also a Saab TSN out about persistent vibration caused by an old style of subframe mount used in 94 and part of 95 (at least in the US).
Finally, the upper strut bushings in the early NGs were prone to wear and that may be a problem.
Good luck
