I put on Eibachs and Koni Shocks - stiffened up the ride a little - Ass well as the interstates, I drive rural Oregon roads through the Coast Range - winding and rough - subsidence and washouts! I really like the Eibach/Koni combination - firm but not too rough. It lowered the car just over an inch - looks GREAT - sharp - but not rice box! HOLDS THE ROAD like a dream!! I also have the 17" BBS/Saab rims and Dunlop SP9000 tires - great in the rain (after all, this is Oregon!).
I wouldn't want to go to a very stiff spring for highway driving - too hard on the kidneys - and I suspect the car would develop rattles very quickly.
