I don't know what your aptitude for wrenching is but this is not a difficult installation. It's been described many times before but here it is in a nutshell:
Take out all the visible screws around the glovebox and drop it down (you don't need to remove it).
Peel back the carpeting on the passenger side wall towards the door (you may have to pry up the door kickplate)
You'll see a black box mounted on the side wall labelled "Kiekert" (this is the alarm ECU). Remove the screws holding it in place and move it aside (no need to unplug it).
Above the alarm box is a metal cage where the ECU sits. Unplug the ECU by levering the red release arm down and away from you. (This is a little tricky but DON'T FORCE IT!!!)
Remove all screws holding the ECU in place... The difficult to reach ones are WAAAAAAY in the back which is why you needed to drop the glovebox so you'll have room to work.
Use caution when handling the ECU's... DON'T start the car without it or unplug it with the car ON! Upgrade the ECU that you get from the junkyard and save your existing one as a spare.
Note that with 9-3's and 9-5's the ECU are "married" to the car with the Tech II device... This is not so on the NG900's.
