Viggen rims tire fitments

I just got a set of Viggen rims for my 9-3, and I need some help with the tire size. The car is lowered with Eibach springs (Koni shocks) and the problem is that Eibach tell me they've "designed the springs around the stock wheels" so I'm a bit afraid of body touching, as I've heard of some nasty accidents resulting from this. I've worked out these solutions:
-stock size 195/60/15 radius 30.75cm-
215/45/17 radius 31.265cm
The original Viggen tire. Little chance of rubbing, but I need more traction than that since I'm planning on some engine mods. Also prone to curb scraping.
225/45/17 radius 31.715cm
Better traction, less chance of scraping and better comfort due to increased sidewall. But prone to rubbing, as it is significantly larger radius than stock.
235/40/17 radius 30.99cm
Even better traction and little chance of rubbing as radius is very close to stock. Provides good curb protection also. On the downside, low sidewall and also very wide for 7.5" rim (although it will fit -Audi RS2 has this fitment)
Ideally, I'd go for the 225 but body touching can be dangerous... Although I have seen 18" 225/40/18 with radius 31.86cm, which is even larger than this.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
George
