Same car, same problem.
Replaced clutch and clutch cable at 80k and my knees still hurt. The problem really manifests itself when you test drive a new car and then come back to your trusty 900.
My mechanic (Russ Cleaton, Swedish Garage) says it stems from the fact Saab tried out cables for a few years before returning to hydraulics.
