Thanks for the additional areas to check, TG. The car is going to the dealer in the morning to have a LF metal-to-metal clunk checked out (strut mount?) and I'll have them sweep these sensors while it's there. The shop manual also mentions a stuck purge valve.
Yes, I'm running NGK copper 6's. They were changed about 6 months ago, no effect on this idle problem.
I'm curious, how would a crank position sensor fault affect the upshift light?
