205/55-16 Yoko's on my 1998 900SET.... I have had 205/55-16 Yokohama AVS S4 on my 1998 900SET for about 2 years. No real problems with rubbing. There is a small 'polished' area on the left rear, where the tire just touches the fuel tank breather tube when the vehicle is heavily loaded. The tire has just polished off the dirt is all.
I like to 205/55-16 tire size as it gives more options in all-season tires and also gives a little more impact protection for the rim.
The speedometer error using the 205/55-16 (assuming your speedo is accurate with 205/50-16 tires) will be that the speedo reads about 3% too slow, so that if the speedo says 70MPH you will really be going 72-73 MPH. On my car, with the 205/55-16 tires, the speedometer is off exactly 3% when measured over 50 miles against the highway mile markers.
