I am beginning to think we have a dealer issue here. Why ? Any clunky funky front suspension noises/issues are clearly outlined in a lengthy SI from Saab. Alldata has it too.
Now, paying a technician to trouble-shoot it on a 1995 car may be an owner issue.
I had it on my 1996, and it was a bitch to discover/trouble-shoot and fix. My car was under warranty at the time, but conservatively 10 man hours were on it for thunking/clunking.
It was the WRONG springs on the front of my car ---IN MY CASE !!!!The coils were too large at the bottom and collided with the plate/cup they are mounted in.\
So add the price of R and R 2 springs plus the time to diagnose it and you'll cross $ 1,000.00 EASY in this example. Who is willing to pony up that cash on a MY 1994/1995 car ?
As he asks, what's the difference in the model years---this kind of stuff is, and more.
You want a list ?There isn't one.
Suspension wise, most all this stuff was worked out by mid MY '97.
Then of course it was totally revised in the launch of the 9-3, which people again remark is the same car as the NG.
Bunk.
