just keep working it. the sand paper is to feather the edge, then take a good clearcoat compound and work it hard in a figure 8. 3m swirl remover works real good to finish a 2k grit paper. there is also an "ultrafine" polish that has like 10k grit or something. just slowly work it to a finer matte then wax it. you may have to wax and remove several times to get the right cut. take your time. black is hard to do. if you have removed the clear coat you will have problems that wax wil not fix.
