Black trim around windows

Nothing I use seems to affect the color of the black trim around the windows of my 2000 9-5 anymore. They just stay gray.

I had good luck with a black paint for flexible plastic on the front spoiler of my old 2002 lpt (it matched the side & back lower trim) and am thinking of trying that all around the windows. And even misting it onto the handles.

Any suggestions? Warnings?

Insults? Encouragement?
