Beautiful day in Chicago yesterday....so "She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed" and I pulled the 'ole 911 out for a 50 mile ride to get some brunch and run some errands. Saw the following....'60 Vette (red w/white inserts, very nice), Ferrari 308 (really sounded great, red, of course), a nicely tricked-out Mini-Cooper, a V6 Audi TT (who asked me to pull over so he could look at the car), and a navy blue TR6 with an EXTREMELY nice V8 conversion. The nicest part of the day happened on the way home when we stopped at Pet Smart to pick up supplies for our two dogs, who will most likely pass on the sleeping-in-bed gene. Of course, I parked in the middle of nowhere in Pet Smart's parking lot. When we came out, nose-to-nose with my car was a red 911 Carrera....and of course the owner and I hung around talking for about 45 minutes. My wife eventually got bored, walked next door to Home Depot and purchased something that will require about half a day of my time to assemble and install. Nice car day, anyway.
