I wouldn't look on this as too negative yet. Unless you start seeing production in Trollhattan shut down and moved to China, which I doubt will happen. Volvo is now flush with money from Geely and it's giving them a lot more flexibility. I think (and hope) you'll see the same with Saab.

And seriously, if you don't want to give any money to the Chinese, you'll have to stop buying clothes, iPhones, iPads, TVs, laptops, kid's toys, game systems...just about everything these days.
