You can still have a modicum of privacy if you work at it. You can use a service such as tor or a VPN to mask your IP address while web browsing. An old cell phone that has no GPS and kept off most of the time will minimize that tracking. I know that none of my cars has a data recorder or navigation system; so drive an old car and that's less of a concern, though of course plate reading cameras are becoming more prevalent. Pay in cash and there is no credit card or bank trail. Wear big sunglasses and hat to discourage tracking by cameras in public places.

So there are things one can do to minimize the amount of tracking that takes place. But if you want to stop it entirely you'll have to live out in the woods in a unabomber-style shack!
