It begs the question Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Sat, 11 Feb 2012 08:40:10 In Reply to: I suspect CarQuest gets them from Saab, MI-Roger [Profile/Gallery] , Sat, 11 Feb 2012 08:02:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If it is possible to transplant another brand gear selector switch into a Saab by figuring out and splicing the electric Saab harness and connector to the new switch.
And if the "throw" of the other switch matches that of Saab so you don't end up having reverse light on in Neutral and things like that.
Most Volvo switches are around $180.00 retail but the Volvo S/V 40 01-03 is $110.00 but as a quinkydink, the Volvo S/V 40 2000 only is $244.00.
Goes to show how they choose price settings.
I'm not even sure if the two mounting holes match up. I never replace the switch on Volvo's because they don't go bad.
