I'm not really looking for LRR...

I was mainly wondering if those Michelins were particularly bad in terms of fuel economy. "Worse than winter tires" had me concerned, but I'm not looking for Prius tires...

There definitely seem to be some high performance tires that compare at least favourably for fuel economy (Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2, Pilot Sport 3, heck the Z G2 was 7th in RR in that testing link I pasted + they call it a LRR performance tire). Many of those are excessively performance oriented for me actually! I'm basically looking for a good balance on the performance side of things (there are a lot of really unbalanced tires in that realm!)...

I'm surprised there isn't some kind of standardized testing for RR + numbers reported... should be a lot easier to quantify than things like hydroplaning resistance around curves... I'm also surprised I'm not finding more good tire testing in North America... most of the hits I got for tests seem to be out of Germany (and the tires don't always match up in terms of availability here)...

James...
