I don't understand the offer to donate money to charity. That seems random and beside the point, and confuses the issue. From the information you posted, it seems like the part became available for cheaper AFTER you made the deal. If so, you are 100% right, and they are 100% wrong. They are insane to think that there should be some kind of price guarantee after the fact.
