It must be contagious......For years and years the absolute worst thing about Ford was their automatic transmissions. Not unusual for Ford autos to go out before 80k. Its only since 09 that they seem to have finally built an auto that consistently lasts more than 100k (of course not many post 09 Fords have 100k on them yet, so the jury is still out.)

Although I havn't looked in years, I'm fairly certain that Volvo kept a distinctive atm after Ford bought them--so I have to assume that Ford infected Volvo with its bad juju!
