We replaced my wife's aging Dell Latitude workhorse with a Toshiba Z830. So light, I suppose it is as close to the lightest Mac notebooks at a much lower price. I love it - uses solid state drive, so bootup and 'suspend' are super quick.

I too have an older mac mini on the desk here in the office. Perfect machine for basic tasks.
