Coleman type camp stoves/grills. The kind with the rigid metal pipe/regulator built in to the pipe assembly that connects to a 1lb propane cylinder. Anyone know why it's impossible to find a flexible hose/regulator combo for this set-up? The pipe is very fragile,which in itself seems to me to be dangerous. A flexible hose would seem safer to me. If the tank is not supported properly the pipe can be stressed. The only thing I can think of is the stove manufacturers are protecting themselves from the Darwin rule, of someone placing the propane tank too close or on the stove/grill and blowing themselves up. What I really want to do is mount this grill on a portable tripod stand waist height with the tank below or to the side supported by a bracket off the tripod. With the rigid pipe it is very difficult to do this. Posts in this Thread:
