I owned a 2011 Lexus ES350 for a couple years and the keyless starting was the worst. The number one issue was if there were two keys in the car. Say you are driving with your wife, and you both bring your key. You stop and both get out, but your wife leaves her key in the car. It will not lock. Not until you remove the second key from car. It always takes a minute to figure it out, and you feel like an idiot.
Secondly, If you want to just reach in on a winter morning and start it to warm it up, forget it. Your foot needs to be on the brake pedal for it to start, so you actually need to sit in the car. I didn't like that either.
Lastly, the battery in the proximity key was pretty short lived. Not difficult to replace but still a hassle.
I sold the car to my 74 year old mother in law when I needed a van for a growing family. She loves the keyless start. I think she had trouble turning the key on her previous car.
Real keys are better.
