I love my wife but... ask me about my Saab!
My only Saab is a 1986 9000T 5 speed with 168K miles. I purchased it in 1996 as a "runs but needs TLC". It came with the "Airflow" spoiler kit still in the box but with no instruction booklet ! My friend had a Mazda Precidia that he called "Sexy 'Cidia" so I named the Saab "Handsome Olaf".
I am 73 now and I can say it is the best (designed) car I ever owned. I wish I could buy another although this one gives every indication of going on forever. I do not drive it in the winter to avoid the dreaded salt.
PS: Last week I came across 2- 1960s "Mechanix Illustrated" magazines; one with a test of the "New Saab 99" with the Triumph SOHC inline 4. List price was $2895 !!!! Uncle Tom McCahill really gave it a glowing report. He was almost as complimentary in an earlier test of the 2 stroke 850GT although he was not fond of the "free wheeling" device that let you save on gas by coasting down hills ! Uncle Tom said this feature appeared on (I think) a Plymouth in the 1930s.
