I realized this morning that by flushing the system with water multiple times I will need to re-fill with full strength antifreeze. On a typical drain and re-fill I will aad a half gallon of antifreeze, add a half gallon of Distilled Water, pour the remaining water into the antifreeze jug, label it as 50:50, then use it for the final top-off after bringing the engine to full operating temps.
I better buy a second gallon of coolant and a replacement radiator pet-cock since they can become brittle with age on a 17 year old car.
