I received my May copy of "Hemmings Sports & Exotic" magazine today only to learn it will be the very last issue! In spite of increasing circulation, an extremely high re-subscription rate, a relatively youthful reader base, and the highest reader's per capita income of any of Hemmings magazines, the parent company has decided to stop the presses on Sports & Exotic.
In their absolute brilliance the owners of Hemmings are converting all current Sports & Exotic subscriptions to "Hemmings Classic Car". A magazine that deals with only American vehicles, from the Brass Era to the 1960's. Personally, I have no interest in learning the inner workings and maintenance requirements of acetylene fired brass headlamps, or Rumble Seat linkage repair.
Too bad. A few members of Saabnet had their cars profiled in "Hemmings Sports & Exotic" in the recent past. Never again......................
