Luckily, the TD04 SAAB turbocharger would be MITSUBISHI manufactured turbocharger which will be easily repaired or refreshed. The "Internal Working" section of your turbocharger may be simply accessed with the removal of the SS band-clamp from the cast iron turbine housing, and snap-ring retained aluminum compressor housing. A kit could be used for servicing/refreshing but many repair shops opt to replace with a new cartridge/CHRA(Central Housing Rotating Assembly) which would insure that they have fully balanced new rotating components.
Another nice aspect of the MITSUBISHI(Versus GARRETT) turbochargers is that they were manufactured with pin aligned turbine and compressor housings, which allows for a simple re-assembly.
