well, Hylomar is truly superlative sealant stuff! used by Rolls Royce in their cars and jet engines too as I recall! we used to use it or "yamabond" too for sealing crankcase halves. As to the oozing phenomenon, I learned to just use a very thin layer! I rebuilt a # of early honda m/c engines( et all,) when the "mechanic " prior to my work, had used too much silicone and it plugged up the oil jet restrictors to the top end!
