Again, I'm late commenting here, got my Saab less than a week ago. I just sold a 2006 Miata and it was great in the rain. Driving over 25 or 30 mph in the rain you were fine. We once drove about an hour in a pretty heavy rain on the way back from the beach. At highway speeds we were still fine. Now, this was not on an Interstate or expressway. I wouldn't want to deal with the sidespray there. I guess this doesn't apply to a 9-3 conv (don't have a lot of experience with the top down yet). But with my car (2009 9-3 Aero), you can be going 20 mph and still raise or lower the top (according to the Manual). Cheers, Steve
