I was told by a Utility Co official 5 or 6 years ago that a Chevy Volt consumed $1.50 of electricity to fully charge. I am guessing that 300 miles of range in a Tesla might cost $10 for the electricity at residential rates. No Supercharger on or near my commute path, (and eventhough I work at a power generating facility we have no access to vehicle chargers) Am I anywhere close?
I typically refuel my cars at 300 mile intervals and the 12 gallons of gas costs a lot more than $10.
