It's astonishing the batteries can accept that level of charging. What isn't as often discussed though is that 'supercharger' type charging is bad for the battery and shouldn't be your normal way of charging. It's designed to be used occasionally on road trips, etc. and not as the typical way to charge your car. I don't really see this as an issue, since I think not having to visit a gas station at all during your normal life is an easy trade off to longer fill times compared to gas when traveling, but unless something has changed these miracle fast charging times aren't really supposed to be an every day thing.
