This one is not talked about often, but the number of locations suitable for a bank of fast chargers is actually not infinite. You need substantial power available. Tesla is doing a huge land grab right now by installing their superchargers in locations that have up to date electrical grid. In the future, it will be a huge competitive advantage for them because proprietary Tesla chargers will occupy most of the suitable locations and non-Tesla vehicles will have scraps left over as far as suitable locations for installing substantial fast charging infrastructure. Already you can see generic fast chargers being limited to only one or two vehicles charging concurrently, while Tesla is building out 20-stall supercharger stations.
