I got an account years ago thinking I could reconnect with former High School friends from 30+ years ago. The only people who wanted to connect to me were relatives that I already was seeing frequently, so I deactived the account. Actually, FB never lets you truly deactivate any account.

Fast forward another 10 years and I decided to give it another go. My old account was still there so I actively sought out former High School friends from 40+ years ago. The guys only want to talk sports (I don't follow sports), the girls only want to share photos of grandchildren (we have no grandchildren), and then there are the political wack jobs who definitely went off the deep end and insist on posting about nothing else.

I am linked to three or more SAAB related FB groups but still only open my account once per week or less.

My wife will daily view the pages of her friends to see photos of their grandchildren or learn of their other exploits, particularly former co-workers, but seldom posts herself. But boy, those opened photos sure pile up as Temp files!
