I've thought of getting a Chinese-clone Tech II to use with my pair of Saab 9000s (and possible future Saab purchases) but one of my concerns is that I really wouldn't know how to use it properly. If you loaned the tool out and someone bricked their car with it they might try to come back at you and claim the tool did it and you're responsible. (There are ****heads even in the Saab world - as evidenced by the recent classified ad debacle.)
Other concerns for buying my own are that the China-made clones have a spotty reputation for working properly, plus it's hard to run down exactly what would be needed for the 9000 and other Saab models. The necessary information on interface cables, memory cards, software, etc., seems to be scattered in bits and pieces all over the place.
