OT: Home stereo equipment recommendations Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sat, 27 Oct 2018 15:55:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We ordered a new console cabinet for our home back in August and it was delivered this past Thursday. Today was the day to move all the stereo equipment into the cabinet.
Big shocker! The shelves are less than an inch too narrow to accommodate two pieces of equipment side-by-side, and they are too shallow to accommodate our 5 CD carousel player. Right now my 40 year old CTF-9191 cassette player/recorder (which is effectively never used) is in the same discard pile as our carousel CD player.
Does anyone make a multi-CD player which uses a cassette rather than the rotating carousel, and that will fit on a 12-inch shelf?
Does anyone make a narrow CD or cassette player? Everything appears to be 17 inches wide as if they simply take the ears off rack-mount equipment. Two 15-inch wide pieces of equipment will fit side-by-side nicely with a little extra space.
Does anyone make a combo CD & Cassette Player? I saw the Teac AD-800. Are there any competitors to this that are not priced at $1K or higher?
Thanks,
