Hi, besides creating The Saab Network on the Internet in 1988, I also founded a non-profit in 2008 that makes 0% interest loans to the working poor. We are doing a #GivingTuesday drive to support our loans made to those 24 & under (our Youth Fund). Please see my note below and share if you can.
#GivingTuesday is November 27th! Poverty2Prosperity.org is focusing on our Youth Fund this year. Our Youth Fund makes 0% interest loans to the working poor who are 24 years old or younger. Because jobs are hard to come by in many communities, especially for young, less experienced people, the Youth Fund offers a way to improve prospects for youth. Opportunity may mean the young adults have the opportunity to continue their education, build a business, or help their family-either family of origin or family they have created.
Over our 10 years of making 0% interest loans (over 20,000 so far), P2P has a 99.44% repayment rate and 97% of all donations have gone directly into making loans. Our staff is 100% volunteer. Donations made on Giving Tuesday will continue to make new loans for about 100 years. In addition, a generous donor has offered to match the first $1,000 in donations to our Youth Fund on #GivingTuesday, so getting your donation matched means your donation does 200 years of work! P2P is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit which means that all donations are tax-deductible.
Donations may be made through our website here to our Youth Fund or any of our funds at the link below.
Please invite your friends so that they can learn more about what we do!
