Yard is about an acre and a half, though not all of it is grass. The mower is self propelled. I get about an hour per charge which is about half the lawn (it is usually fairly long when I mow it). Takes about an hour to fully recharge. Very simple, just pop the battery out and set it in the charger, which I have in the garage. I'm lazy and I charge after every use, no reason not to.
