Awesome!!
I even saw someone I met at the SOC but I couldn't catch up to him, & I forget his name to :o(
I was also simply amazed at the acceleration the cars had exiting the pits. It's just amazing what all the drivers can do with those cars! Their lateral G load was also simply amazing, makes me wonder how a CART car would compare, but surely, FIA wouldn't allow them to compete on the same track :o(
The Porsche cup & Ferarri Challenge were also extremely entertaining, Oh so jealous :o)
On a sad note, 3 people dies on Saturdat. One was a track worker who was struck by a car while he was crossing one of the roads surrounding the track, It was a hit & run supposidley. The other 2 deaths were 2 canadians who were in ther motor home & died of carbon monoxide poisoning at the camping area across from the track.
Fri & Sat & spent my time checking out numerous positions on the track (except the straigh) & on sunday, my seats were in the turn 2, 3, 4 area.
Extremely enjoyable & look forward to next year :o)
By the way, we had a police escort going in to the races which probably reduced the time getting to the race by 20 minutes. Parking was FREE & we were directly next to turn 2 on the oval. Problem was, my seats were on turn 1 which is a loooong ways away. Anyways, It was nice cruising at 85 mph in a construction zone where EVEREYONE was pulling off the road. On the back streets, everyone also got out of our way, very cool! The only bad thing was we were in a minivan & not in my brothers 900 SET or my SPG. The police officer usually goes over 100 mph on these escort things but we had a ford dually following us so we had to slow way down :o(
