Shop fire - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I don't have all the details, but John Collins in Corvallis suffered a shop fire recently. Chip Lamb and I had been trying to get ahold of him and Chip informed me today that he had heard from John and the reason Johns phone was dead was because of a fire. John lived in one corner of the shop and went to sleep with a fire going in the wood stove. Apparently the stovepipe was clogged and John awoke to an inferno. No word at this point on what is happening to all of the parts cars and near-runners in his back lot or to how extensive the damage was. John repairs old SAABs; 95/96/97/99/C900. He also helps a lot of local people with advise on doing their own repairs/upgrades. I'll let you all know what I find out in the next few days.
