I agree with the earlier advise, go drive both the 4 & 6 cyl. If one "feels" better then the other - get it. My wife and I have the 4, with auto, and like it very much. The Onstar is a nice feature, but I would not not by a 2000 just because it is not standard - great time to be dealing on the 2000 year! The money you save over a 2001, can go towards possibly personalizing your car more with new rims, or whatever you like! Say you pay $2K for unique rims, you probably should still be saving money over the 2001! Go spoil yourself, and get what your want!! Sounds like you will have the car for along time, so make sure it is optioned out the way you want it!!

Note: (If your flush with cash:)- try the Aero wagon. Serious grin factor, and very unique styling...)
