so there are going to be biased repsonses. I'll try to give an unbiased response.
1) When you say there is a $4000 difference are you comparing sticker prices or actual negotiated prices. I have a feeling that it's sticker prices, which is not a true measure since the TL commands sticker price and you will be able to negotiate on the SAAB.
2) Resale will be better on the Acura, but that is really not an issue, if you plan to keep the car for a long time. If you do not plan to keep the car for a long time, have you considered a lease, if so, how the lease rates compare?
3) Even though the styling of the 9-5 is not traditionally SAAB funky. It is a more unique sedan than the TL.
4) I am impressed with the 9-5's fit and finish on the interior, but the TL is better.
5) Have you driven a TL? Have you driven a 9-5 2.3LPT? a 9-5 3.0l V6 LPT? or a 9-5 Aero?
6) I suggest driving all of the model ranges available before making a decision. (Of course with the TL, you really only have one model with very limited options).
In the end, you should buy what you like.
