Where is this thing going to be built? I have got the impression that it is going to be built in the US and if so, I think the Swedes will have very little to do with it. Since SUV's have less than a stellar safety record, my concern is that this SUV will not be any safer than the rest of the SUV clan and will seriously tarnish Saab's safety record. If the Swede's are seriously involved with the vehicle, then I would expect it to be the safest SUV around. But how is this going to happen on a Pontiac/Buick platform if the Swedes aren't seriosly involved? Does it make sense to build it in Sweden for what is almost exclusively a US market? Mercedes and BMW are building both of theirs here.
