I'd say that the Saab is still a little quicker to 60 than the 325. I believe that the BMW has 185hp, and a Saab 9-3SE has 205 (base 9-3 has 185- close competition there!).

Out of curiousity, how come you stayed away from the Sport package? I test drove a 323 a while back and found that it corners flatter with the Sport pack and seemed to ride a little sportier.

I stayed away from BMW for a few reasons. The most obvious is that the E46 wasn't available when I bought my 9-3, it was the E36 (I probably have thos codes wrong). The other reason is that, at least in Dallas, everyone has a BMW. If you don't have a 4x2 Exploder sitting in your drive, then it's a BMW. I wanted something a little different. Nice cars, both.
