Hi,
You have a point, but look what BMW sacrifices for its insistence on
inline-6. It has to have a super-long hood with lots of wasted space
which eats into passenger space and trunk space. For the "ultimate"
driving experience, they pay the ultimate price of sacrificing everything
else.
Also, what is the weight of balance shafts plus turbo as compared to
weight of two extra cylinders?
