First, '74 99 4 door I bought in '81. Junked it because I wrecked it. (17 and very stupid). It had about 100,000 miles on the odo.
Second, another '74 99, this one I bought in '83. Sold it to a friend. I think he finally got rid of it about 5 years or so ago. Also, about a 100,000 when I sold it. No idea when he did...
Third, '84 base 900. This was factory fresh. I traded it in at 125,000 miles and in need of a head gasket. I got another Saab...
4th, a 1988 900S, 16 valve. I sold it at 305,000 miles. I still see it cruising on the road here in town.
5th, a 1997 Talladega Edition 900. 114,000 miles and still going strong. No intentions of selling this one any time soon.
6th, my toy. A 1988 SPG which I'm in the process of restoring. 130,000 miles and still going strong as well. Bought it last December, after a mechanical/engine restoration and am currently undergoing an interior, well, lets say, freshening (Carpets in seriously sad shape...)
And now my 7th Saab in 21 years of driving, a 2002 9-5 Aero Wagon. Just turned 10,000 miles. Plan on keeping this one a long time as well.
Jim Miller.
