It seems as though Chrysler is going to be putting turbo's back in the lineup for 2003. Starting with a turbocharged PT cruiser. They also have plans to use the motor in the neon to make a 'very sporty' neon. It is supposed to be the second fastest production car in chryslers line up next to the viper. I'm not sure why anyone would be stupid enough to drive a neon anywhere near the speeds of a viper (hell, I wouldn't even take a viper over about 140). But I'm sure some stuipd kids will mess up their lives on an affordable high speed neon.
The other is the Mazda Protoge' turbo. I guess they managed to get 170hp out of a 2.0L turbo (geee, that must have been tough mazda) and the new model will carry the Mazdaspeed badge. Mazdaspeed has not made its way into the US until this year, so lets hope for powerful things from this little 2.0.

This info was on some AP article I read in a local paper, maybe someone could find it on the web...
