Don't understand all the 9-3 complaints...

I just sat in a 2003 9-3 Linear loaded with Launch & Touring packages and all I can say is that all the complaints about cheap interior fittings aren't true! I had previously sat in a pre-production 9-3 over the Summer so I wanted to reserve comment until seeing the real thing.
It's leaps and bounds more high quality feeling than the old 9-3. Buttons feel solid and great, window controls are very nice feeling, and plastic trim around transmission does not look or feel cheap... and neither does the hand brake.
The cloth that I have heard a lot of complaints about is not just like velour in the old 9-3, but instead a high density woven fabric that feels and looks very nice.
The high-positioned display on the dash is very nice, and I'm sure a benefit to driver's safety. The radio controls are intuitive as is navigating through the computer menus.
The glove box is well done with the latch hidden in the trim of the dash.
The trunk lid is very light to the touch and closes easily.
This will surely be a winner for Saab! It's a great automobile.
