I seem to be collecting older but still mostly functional car stereo head units. One of these days I am going to buy a medium size (say 20-40w) solar panel and use it to power my Blaupunkt Toronto. If I recall, that puts out about 20w RMS per channel, though naturally it's not 100% efficient so I wouldn't be able to get full output unless I sprang for one of Scott's mondo panels. With my 92 db/watt speakers though, should be able to break 100 dB without much hassle. :)
I just haven't stomached the cost of the panel yet, given that you can buy a 13.8V DC power supply for 1/10 the cost. Just doesn't have the same coolness factor though, and you need to have AC to run the power supply...
