it would still be interesting to see how well it might do in the northern part of the state. The days are short and the sun angle is low but the coldest days are usually the sunniest in the winter too. Admittedly it would probably still be a very long term proposition to justify it on pure economics since cooling isn't much of an issue in the summer either so it would then come down to electric company buy backs which is the slow way to get the investiment back. But still getting off the grid would be cool.
