2 doors = higher insurance Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Sun, 28 Feb 2016 09:00:39 In Reply to: Re: Best option for a 2-year lease?, A1-turbo, Sun, 28 Feb 2016 06:53:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
or at least generally that is the case.
We recently rented a new malibu and it was ok (rearward visibility was poor other than with the backup camera). Cruze is probably fine. Ford also? We also rented a Sentra. That was ok as basic transportation, almost more appealing than the malibu in terms of the driving experience being more direct, and might be available cheaply as a lease.
Honda civic aside from being boring and possibly having Norm's favourite airbags (Civic is only listed 01-05 iirc, but check the official sites) are a fairly good option for basic transportation nowadays in terms of the overall balance. Many of the safety, comfort, space utilization, etc issues in older civics were addressed in the 2006 model. Fuel economy is very good also. Overall, not a bad appliance if that is what one is looking for. It may be possible to get one of these as a used car and not have too much in the way of maintenance costs, if you are looking at a lease alternative... but it won't fit his GM interests.
