My Viggen costs $171 each year Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Thu, 4 Aug 2016 17:37:36 In Reply to: Ouch..., Johnson [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 4 Aug 2016 15:02:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
And I get standard plates, no special letter or number combination.
Michigan starts at a specified percentage of the vehicle's sticker price for license plates in year 1. For years 2, 3, and 4 (I believe), the price drops by 10% or so each year. Years 5 through end of life are the same as year 4. At year 25 you can buy the Antique plates for a low cost, but you are legally very limited where you can drive the car.
The wife's 2006 9-3SC is the least expensive to plate, yet it cost me the most money since I bought it new with more options that we had planned! My 9-5 Aero was four years old when I bought it, and the Viggen was 13 years old.
